Hezbollah Attack on Israel: Amid the ongoing war with Hamas in the Gaza Strip, Hezbollah launched a major attack on Israel. It is being described as an attack like 7th October. Hezbollah bombed Israel’s Mount Meron area throughout the night. Hezbollah fired 37 missiles within a few minutes. The surprising thing was that Israel’s anti-missile system Iron Dome failed to stop it. Iron Dome could shoot down only 7 out of 37 missiles fired by Hezbollah. Hezbollah described this attack as a response to Israel’s attacks on Gaza.
Hamas attacked Israel on October 7 last year. More than 1400 civilians were killed in this attack. Not only this, Hamas fighters had also taken more than 200 people hostage. In response, Israel is attacking Hamas positions in Gaza. Lebanese organization Hezbollah is also supporting Hamas in this war and is attacking Israel.
On the other hand, the Israeli army continues attacks in Lebanon also. Five people, including three Hezbollah members, were killed in the Israeli attack on Saturday night. In response, Hezbollah fired rockets at Israel on Sunday.
There is no news of any Israeli death or injury in the Hezbollah attack. Israel has confirmed these attacks. According to Israel, Hezbollah carried out these attacks twice. 30 rockets were fired in the first attempt, one of which was successfully shot down by Iron Dome. In the second time 7 rockets were fired. Iron Dome was successful in demolishing 6 of these.
Meron is an Israeli Air Force base. Hezbollah has targeted it several times amid the ongoing war between Hamas and Israel. However, Hezbollah has not yet succeeded in causing major damage to Israel.
